Ambrai Ghat, Udaipur Overview
Ambrai Ghat, also known as Manjhi Ghat, is one of Udaipur's most beloved ghats, offering stunning lakeside views and a tranquil atmosphere. Located on the shores of Lake Pichola, it is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Early in the morning, the ghat becomes a peaceful retreat, where you can witness Udaipur’s residents practicing yoga, bathing in the lake, and engaging in various activities. As the day fades, the ghat transforms into a beautiful vantage point, where you can enjoy mesmerizing views of iconic heritage hotels such as the Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, and Shiv Niwas, all illuminated by city lights.
Ambrai Ghat is known for its serene ambiance and the six aartis that take place daily from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The ghat is well-maintained by the Nagar Parishad of Udaipur, featuring marble boundaries and spacious seating areas for visitors to relax. Situated opposite Gangaur Ghat, near the Jagdish Chowk area, Ambrai Ghat is renowned for its picturesque views of the City Palace and the surrounding lakes, making it a must-visit spot in Udaipur.
