- By Rail: Balugaon Railway Station is the closest, around 10 km away. From there, you can take an auto or taxi to the lake.
- By Road: Buses from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack regularly operate to Balugaon. From there, hire a taxi or auto to reach Chilika Lake.
Boating & Activities:
You can enjoy motorboats and speedboats on the lake, with the best time for boating being early morning, just before sunrise, when the birds are most active. Rentals start at INR 550 per hour for a 10-seater motorboat.
