The Clock Tower is located on Rajpur Road, at the heart of the city, surrounded by business centers and marketplaces. This makes it a prime spot for visitors to stop by and appreciate the historical charm of the area.

The tower features an impressive architecture with six clock faces and reaches a height of 85 meters, making it a visually dominating structure. At the top, a gold plate is displayed, honoring the freedom fighters who played crucial roles in India's fight for independence.

Originally, the tower was named Balbir Tower and was constructed to celebrate India’s newfound freedom. The base-laying ceremony was held in 1948 by Sarojini Naidu, the then Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The tower’s unique design and cultural significance make it an important part of Dehradun’s heritage.
