Overview
Located 15 km from Ahmedabad in Asarwa, the Dada Hari Wav, also known as the Bal Harir Stepwell, is one of the region’s most remarkable historical sites. Built during the reign of Mehmud Begda, this octagonal stepwell is crafted from sandstone and is a stunning example of Solanki architectural style. Offering a cool retreat for locals in the summer, it features seven levels, each designed for water conservation and capable of holding several visitors at once.

The stepwell is uniquely positioned behind the Dada Hari grave and includes three stairways descending to the water level from the first storey. Its intricate stone carvings and elegant design make Dada Hari Wav a true masterpiece of Gujarati craftsmanship.
