The Concept Behind Drive & Dine
Born out of the brother-sister duo Insha and Yash Malhotra's innovative thinking, Drive & Dine combines the thrill of a road trip with the joy of dining out. After observing how people felt more comfortable stepping out for a drive rather than sitting in crowded spaces, the duo envisioned this drive-in concept to bring delicious food to guests while maintaining physical distancing. Both Insha and Yash, who graduated from Cornell University in 2017, now manage their family business, which includes 4 hotels, 10 restaurants, and 16 event spaces.

- Ordering Process: The restaurant uses QR codes for placing orders, ensuring social distancing. Golf carts deliver food right to your parking spot, making the experience even more seamless.
Safety Measures at Drive & Dine
Drive & Dine has implemented a robust set of safety protocols to ensure a safe and comfortable dining experience:
- Regular Sanitization: Electrostatic guns are used to sanitize the restaurant and parking areas.
- Temperature Checks & Sanitization: Upon arrival, guests’ temperatures are checked, and their car bonnets are sanitized before parking.
- UV Sterilization: Crockery and cutlery are sterilized using UV chambers to ensure hygiene.
- Face Mask Protection: Guests are provided with a special case to keep their face masks safe when not in use.
The restaurant has also received an overwhelming response from locals, hosting special events like drive-in movie nights and plans to screen exciting events like the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches soon.
