Overview
Nestled in the scenic Aravalli hills, Galtaji Temple is a historic Hindu pilgrimage site, famous for its serene ambiance and stunning architecture. The temple complex features multiple shrines, holy kunds (water tanks), pavilions, and natural springs, all built from beautiful pink sandstone. History & Legend
The temple was constructed by Diwan Rao Kriparam in the 16th century, dedicated to Saint Galtav, who is said to have meditated here for decades. According to legend, the saint was blessed with sacred springs by the Gods. This site is also believed to be where Tulsidas wrote parts of the Ramcharitra Manas.

The best months to visit are February to March and October to December, as the weather is mild and pleasant. Avoid the hot summer months for a more comfortable visit. The temple is especially lively during Makar Sankranti when many pilgrims flock to the holy kund.
