Overview
Located in Rajajinagar, ISKCON Bangalore is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, opened in 1997. It's not just a religious site but also a cultural complex featuring deities such as Sri Sri Radha Krishnachandra, Sri Sri Krishna Balarama, and others. History
ISKCON Bangalore, part of the global ISKCON movement, aims to spread the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. After securing land in 1988, construction of the temple began in 1990 and took seven years. The temple was inaugurated by the then President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, on May 31, 1997.
Architecture
The temple showcases stunning neoclassical architecture with a gold-plated flagpost and intricate stone carvings. The main shrine, Rajagopuram, welcomes visitors with beautiful archways and fountains. The complex includes several prayer halls and a verdant garden.
