Overview
Jag Mandir Palace, also known as the Lake Garden Palace, is a stunning three-story marble and sandstone palace situated on the southern island of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Completed in the early 17th century under Maharana Jagat Singh, its construction began in 1551 under Maharana Amar Singh and was continued by Maharana Karan Singh. The palace was once a refuge for Shah Jahan during his exile and is famous for its grand design and historical significance. The imposing white marble elephants guarding the palace are one of its most distinctive features.
