History:
Originally known as the Memorial Well Garden, Nana Rao Park was built to honor Nana Rao Peshwa, a key figure in the 1857 Indian Rebellion. Known for his leadership in the Bibighar massacre, Nana Rao's contributions to India’s freedom struggle are commemorated through this park, which was established to replace the original garden after independence.
