Patan Devi Mandir, also known as Maa Patneshwari, is one of the oldest and most revered temples in Patna, Bihar. It holds immense significance in Hindu mythology as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. According to legend, it is believed that the right thigh of Devi Sati fell at this spot when Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to dismember her body. This sacred temple is also believed to be the reason Patna got its name, making it a vital pilgrimage site for Hindus.
