Located in Sector 10, Chandigarh, the Natural History Museum was established in 1973 to showcase over 5,000 years of history, particularly Indian history. Originally named the Museum of Evolution of Life, it highlights the evolution of life from microorganisms to multicellular organisms and animals. The museum features impressive exhibits, including real dinosaur fossils, detailed models, and a gallery dedicated to the Mesozoic era.

With three main sections—science, art, and architecture—it offers a deep dive into the evolution of life, the extinction of dinosaurs, and the formation of the Earth, including the “Big Bang Theory.” Popular with locals and schools, the museum is a fascinating place to explore the past. Visitors can easily reach it via cab from the Chandigarh airport or railway station.
